Camera Recycle Australia is the first of its kind in Australia and one of the first in the world.

We take all the unwanted Photographic items and instead of letting them become dangerous and hazardous landfill, we’ll help turn them into things such as bottles, jars, aluminum cans, new park benches, fence posts, wheel chocks, garden edging, tree spikes, pipe supports, wheel stoppers in car parks and much much more.
The cameras, chargers, flashes, lenses and all other photographic equipment will be fully stripped down, and all individual parts will be grouped and sent to their respective recycling companies.

Additionally, a percentage of cameras found to be operational and having all accessories included (good batteries, chargers, software, old memory cards, power, USB and AV leads) will be donated to Charity or for Education purposes.

WE URGE YOU help us in this endeavor and add to a better future for Australia.

CameraRecycle Australia aims to:

  • Take back cameras, batteries and photographic accessories at the end of their useful life.
  • Recover as much of the materials as possible in these items for reuse, and
  • Prevent cameras, batteries and accessories ending up in landfill.
